Setting
Knutson Dam Campground sits on the northeastern shore of Cass Lake where it meets the Mississippi River in the Chippewa National Forest. The campground features a single loop set amid lawns shaded by oak, spruce, and pine trees. Facilities include 11 single-family sites and two walk-to tent sites, all offering views of the lake. Campsites come with picnic tables and campfire rings, with vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection on site. Boat ramps for both the lake and the river provide immediate access for boating, swimming, and fishing.
Getting there: The campground is located 6 miles east of Cass Lake on U.S. Highway 2, and 5 miles north on County Road 10.
