Setting
Peterson Bridge Campground sits along the Pine River in Michigan's Manistee National Forest. The river features a 7-percent gradient, making it one of the fastest-flowing cold-water rivers in lower Michigan, with a 26-mile designated National Wild and Scenic River segment nearby. Anglers target trout, while paddlers use the river for floating and canoeing. The facility provides RV sites with shade, as well as walk-in tent sites on the riverbank that campers can access directly by water. Local outfitters in the surrounding area offer canoe rentals for river trips.
