Setting
Little Bass Lake features five rustic campsites along an 84-acre inland lake in the Hiawatha National Forest. Designed for basic tent and vehicle camping, each site accommodates up to eight people. On-site amenities are limited to a primitive toilet; there is no drinking water available. The lake supports largemouth bass, northern pike, crappie, bluegill, and perch, accessed via a carry-in boat launch. Basic supplies, ice, and fishing licenses can be found five miles northeast in the town of Steuben.
Getting there: From Manistique, MI: drive north 22 miles on M-94 to County Road 437. Turn left (west) on CR 437 and drive 1.8 miles to FR 2213. Turn left (south) on FR 2213 and drive 1.5 miles to FR 2639. Turn right (west) and follow the road to the campsites.
