Setting
Bass Lake features a single rustic campsite set in a hardwood forest on the western shore of 290-acre Bass Lake in Hiawatha National Forest. The site measures 35 by 50 feet and fits one small trailer, offering carry-in water access for campers. There are no toilets or drinking water on site. A public back-in boat launch is located four miles away on the eastern shore, while basic services and supplies are three miles away in Steuben.
Getting there: From Manistique drive north on M-94 for 22 miles to County Road 437. Turn left (west) on CR 437 and drive 4.6 miles to Forest Road 2792. Turn left (east) on FR 2792 and drive about 0.75 mile to the campsite.
