Situated on the western end of Chickenbone Lake along the Indian Portage Trail, West Chickenbone Campground is an inland site tailored for hikers and paddlers. Lacking direct powerboat access, the primitive campground is reached on foot or via canoe/kayak portages from McCargoe Cove (1.2 miles) or Lake Livermore (0.2 miles).

Getting there: West Chickenbone Campground is located on the west end of Chickenbone Lake, off of the Indian Portage Trail.
