McCargoe Cove Campground sits along McCargoe Cove on the north shore of Isle Royale National Park, at the junction of the Indian Portage and East Chickenbone trails. The site features six shelters and a dock with a seven-foot normal water depth where boats can tie up overnight. Access is available on foot, by private boat from Lake Superior, or by canoe and kayak via a 1.2-mile portage from Chickenbone Lake.
