Setting
Perch Lake Campground sits 10 miles south of Sidnaw in the Kenton Ranger District. Built as a single loop, it features 20 drive-in campsites for tents, trailers, and RVs, with many sites providing direct access to the water. Each site includes a wooden table, fire ring, and parking spur. On-site amenities include two hand pumps for drinking water, vault toilets (including one accessible facility), and a public boat ramp with a dedicated parking area immediately adjacent to the loop for motorless boating, canoeing, and kayaking.
Getting there: Perch Lake Campground is located in Iron County 10 miles southeast of the town of Sidnaw on the Kenton Ranger District in the eastern half of the Ottawa National Forest. From Sidnaw larger towns of Ironwood and Marquette are within 2-hour drives. From Sidnaw, travel south on Sidnaw Road approximately 10 miles to the campground. The road is paved for approximately 6 ½ miles and then turns to gravel. From Iron River, take County Road 657 north approximately 15 miles, turn slight right onto FR 2130, travel approximately 9 ½ miles on FR 2130 to Sidnaw Road, turn left onto Sidnaw Road and travel approximately 2 miles to the campground.
