Setting
Black River Campground features 38 partially shaded, wooded campsites for tents and RVs, including five sites set within a few hundred feet of Lake Superior. Facilities include two concrete vault toilet buildings. Adjacent to the campground, the Black River Harbor Recreation Area offers a boat ramp, a Civilian Conservation Corps historic pavilion, a large grassy picnic area, and a footbridge crossing the river to a sandy Lake Superior beach. Trails follow the tannic Black River to several local waterfalls.
Getting there: From Ironwood Mi., travel east on US 2 to Powderhorn Road, turn left onto Powderhorn Road and travel approximately 3 miles to CR 513, turn left onto CR 513 and travel approximately 11 miles to the Black River Harbor Recreation Area.
