Seawall Campground in ME -- Campground & RV Camping in Maine

Set in a wooded coastal section on the quiet western side of Mount Desert Island, Seawall Campground offers tent and small RV sites within a 10-minute walk of the Atlantic Ocean. Facilities include paved roads, flush toilets, running water, a dump station, picnic tables, and fire rings, with a waterfront picnic area located across the entrance road. Guests can easily access Acadia National Park's network of hiking trails, carriage roads, and nearby Echo Lake for swimming and kayaking, while commercial showers and supplies are available a mile away.

Getting there: From Boston, take I-95 north to Augusta, Maine, then Route 3 east to Ellsworth and on to Mount Desert Island.For an alternate route, continue on I-95 north to Bangor, Maine, then take Route 1A east to Ellsworth. In Ellsworth, take Route 3 to Mount Desert Island. At first traffic light on Mount Desert Island, bear right onto Route 102. Stay on 102 for approximately 11.5 miles. You will pass through Somesville and the town of Southwest Harbor. As you leave Southwest Harbor, keep right on Route 102 and travel through Bass Harbor. You will pass through Bass Harbor and keep left onto 102A. Campground approximately 2.4 miles. Campground entrance is on the left. Note: Detour in place.
