Blackwoods Campground is a wooded facility situated in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island. The layout features paved roads with drive-in sites for tents and RVs, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. On-site amenities include flush toilets, running water, and a dump station, though there are no shower facilities inside the campground. All sites are located within a ten-minute walk of the rocky ocean shoreline. The park's 27-mile Loop Road and network of stone carriage roads for biking are accessible directly from the area.

Getting there: The entrance to Blackwoods Campground is off of State Highway 3, six miles south of Bar Harbor. There is no entrance to the campground from Acadia National Park's Park Loop Rd.Be aware of height restrictions for recreational vehicles. The Park Loop Rd. has several low bridges and the majority of it is one way traffic. Plan your route carefully. Many park roads feature historic bridges constructed with lower than conventional clearances.
