Poplar Grove Youth Group Campground in MD -- Campground & RV Camping in Maryland

Poplar Grove is a youth group tent campground set in a hardwood deciduous forest within Catoctin Mountain Park. The primitive facility offers three group sites that hold up to 25 people each, with individual campfire circles and grills provided. Shared amenities include two central vault toilets, a covered pavilion, and provided firewood. No drinking water is available on-site. The campground connects directly to the Catoctin National Recreation Trail, with additional hiking available across the park's 25-mile trail network and fishing nearby at Cunningham Falls State Park.

Getting there: Poplar Grove is located on Manahan Road in the western portion of Catoctin Mountain Park. From Route 15, exit at Catocin Mountain Park/Route 77. Travel approximately six miles west, passing the Visitor Center and Park Central Road. Turn right on Foxville-Deerfield Road and bear to the right onto Manahan Road at the fork. Poplar Grove is located about a mile ahead on the gravel road.
