Spring Gap Campground in MD -- Campground & RV Camping in Maryland

Spring Gap Campground sits at Mile 173.3 on the C&O Canal Towpath along the Potomac River in Western Maryland. The layout features 12 single drive-in sites—five sized for single passenger vehicles and seven accommodating small RVs or trailers up to 20 feet—plus two 30-person group sites. Single sites include a picnic table, fire pit, and grill, while group sites provide four tables. On-site amenities offer pit and portable toilets, a seasonal hand pump for water, and a boat ramp for river access. The C&O Towpath runs adjacent for biking, and Cumberland is nearby.

Getting there: From Cumberland, MD: Follow MD State Route 51 South/East Industrial Road for approximately 7 miles (11 km). Spring Gap Campground will be directly off 51, on the right side of the road.
