Paw Paw Tunnel Campsite in MD -- Campground & RV Camping in Maryland

Paw Paw Tunnel Campground sits at Mile 156 on the C&O Canal Towpath along the Potomac River, directly across from Paw Paw, West Virginia. Surrounded by the forested mountains of Western Maryland and Green Ridge State Forest, the facility features 10 single campsites. Each site accommodates up to eight people and is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. On-site amenities include portable toilets and a seasonal hand pump providing potable water from mid-April through October. Green Ridge State Forest and the city of Cumberland sit within easy driving distance.

Getting there: From Cumberland, MD: Follow MD State Route 51 South/E Industrial Road for approximately 24 miles (39 km). Paw Paw Campground will be directly off 51, on the left side of the road.
