Blue Heron Campground is a shaded facility located in the Cumberland Plateau region of Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. Designed for tents and RVs, the spacious campsites feature electric hookups, picnic tables, flush toilets, and hot showers. The surrounding landscape consists of sandstone cliffs, gorges, and forested land. Nearby features include hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails, with the Big South Fork River a short drive away for fishing. The reconstructed Blue Heron Mine outdoor museum sits just a few miles from the campground.
