Sitting above the river where Big South Fork meets Lake Cumberland, this small campground offers six sites equipped with tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings with grills, food storage lockers, and bear-proof trash cans. A vault toilet is on site. It sits right at the Alum Ford Boat Launch for motorboat and kayak access. The 260-mile Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail runs through camp. Nearby points of interest include the historic Blue Heron Mine outdoor museum, Big South Fork Scenic Railway in Stearns, nine miles away, and Cumberland Falls State Resort Park.
