Setting
Holly Bay Campground sits in a hardwood forest on the west side of Laurel River Lake in Daniel Boone National Forest. The facility offers single and double-family campsites, including standard electric sites with water hookups and primitive sites. On-site amenities include flush toilets, shower houses, drinking water, a dump station, and a private boat ramp reserved exclusively for registered campers. Guests fish for bass and trout on the 5,600-acre lake, access the 4.2-mile Sheltowee Trace Trail, or travel two miles to a nearby public swimming beach and the Laurel River Dam.
Getting there: From London, Kentucky, take Exit 38 off I-75. Turn west on KY 192, then go 14.2 miles and turn south (left) on KY 1193. Follow signs to Holly Bay Campground entrance (3 miles).
