Carr Creek Lake Shelters sit along Kentucky Highway 160 near a 710-acre reservoir in the mountainous terrain of southeastern Kentucky. The facility features eight covered day-use picnic shelters spread across the Littcarr, Marina, and Dam/Tailwater areas. Each shelter includes electrical hookups, picnic tables, grills, and lighting. Site amenities vary by location to include boat ramps, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, and an accessible fishing pier. The 6-mile Sugar Branch Trail begins at the nearby dam.
