Setting
Carbolyn Park sits along Dragoon Creek on the eastern edge of the 4,000-acre Pomona Lake. The heavily shaded campground features 32 sites (29 with electric and water hookups), flush and vault toilets, a shower building, a dump station, a playground, a picnic shelter, bank-fishing access, and a boat ramp. Three nearby trails surround the lake, including the 33-mile Black Hawk Trail loop for hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers. The town of Lyndon sits under 10 miles away, featuring 22 historical sites and the smallest Carnegie library still in operation.
Getting there: Located 25 miles south of Topeka on US 75. The park entrance is 4.5 miles north of Lyndon, KS on US 75 on the east side of the road.
