Setting
Neosho Park Campground sits along the edge of the 3,310-acre Council Grove Lake within the grassy Flint Hills region. The campground features eight reservable sites with electric hookups, flush toilets, shade trees, and open lawn space. On-site facilities include a boat ramp for lake access, supporting fishing for crappie, catfish, and saugeye. The Pioneer Nature Trail winds through the surrounding forest, and 2,700 acres of public land surround the reservoir.
Getting there: From I-70, take Highway 177 south for 30 miles. Continue west across the dam road, then right onto City Lake Road. After one hundred yards turn right into the campground entrance.
