Hillsboro Cove Campground sits along the shore of the 6,200-acre Marion Reservoir between Marion and Hillsboro, Kansas. The facility features 51 individual campsites equipped with tables, grills, sun shelters, and electric hookups, alongside a 80-person group camping area with a shelter. An on-site boat ramp provides direct access to the lake for boating, watersports, and fishing for channel catfish, walleye, crappie, and white bass. The surrounding 6,000 acres of public land provide forested areas for hunting, with regional arts shows and shops nearby in Marion and Hillsboro.
Getting there: From Marion, Kansas, take Highway 56 for about five miles. Turn right on Nighthawk, then turn right again into the park.
