Setting
Cottonwood Point Campground sits under a forest canopy on the shores of Marion Reservoir, a 6,200-acre lake surrounded by public land. The facility features 164 individual sites with 30-amp or 50-amp electric hookups, alongside two group camping areas and two group picnic shelters. Campsites include tables and grills, with access to two boat ramps located between sites 62 and 67. The Willow Walk Nature Trail weaves through the surrounding woods for wildlife viewing. The lake supports boating, hunting, and fishing for catfish, walleye, and white bass.
Getting there: From Marion, Kansas, take Highway 56 for about 4 miles. Turn north on Old Mill Road and continue almost three miles, then follow signs to the campground.
