Setting
Mound Valley Campground sits along the shore of Big Hill Lake, surrounded by the oak and hickory forests of the Little Ozarks. The park offers 85 campsites, including three group sites and waterfront options, supported by restrooms, showers, a boat ramp, trailer parking, and a sand swimming beach. Anglers target largemouth bass, catfish, walleye, and crappie in the lake. The facility connects directly to the 17-mile Big Hill Lake Horse Trail, which traverses a hardwood ridge overlooking the water and surrounding countryside.
