Rock Creek Campground sits at the southern tip of the 12,000-acre Perry Lake, bounded by open water on one side and dense Kansas forest on the other. The park offers 80 total campsites, featuring primitive and walk-in options along with a reservable group picnic shelter and a playground. A scenic road skirts the shoreline, providing access for boating, sailing, and fishing. Nearby, 27,000 acres of public land host wildlife management areas, while the 29-mile Perry Lake Loop Trail accommodates long-distance hiking.
Getting there: From Perry, Kansas, take Highway 24 west to KS-237. Continue north for about 3 miles, then turn east on Rock Creek Park Road and follow signs to the campground.
