Perry Park is a day-use area at the south end of 12,000-acre Perry Lake near the dam. Surrounded by water and a public beach, it sits next to a full-service marina and the lake information center. Facilities include reservable picnic shelters for large gatherings and shoreline access for boating, canoeing, and fishing. The 29-mile Perry Hiking Trail runs nearby, and 27,000 acres of surrounding public land are managed for wildlife. The city of Lawrence is a short drive away.
