Setting
Riverside West Campground occupies 168 acres on the west bank of the Neosho River within the John Redmond Reservoir area. Set in the Neosho River Valley, the landscape features rolling grassy hills and timbered bottomlands of elm, cottonwood, and oak. The campground offers 25 campsites and one large reservable picnic shelter. On-site and nearby activities center on river and lake fishing, water sports, and hiking trails. Off-road vehicle riders have access to the 140-acre Otter Creek ATV area at the dam's west end. Town services in Burlington sit a short drive away.
Getting there: From Burlington, Kansas, take US 75 north for about 3.5 miles, then turn west onto Embankment Road and continue for 2.5 miles and follow signs to park entrance.
