Situated within Indiana Dunes National Park, this location offers non-electric, tent-only group camping amidst a landscape of sand dunes, forests, bogs, and prairies. The campground sits just 0.2 miles from Dunbar Beach along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Park terrain supports activities such as hiking along 50 miles of regional trails, swimming, and birdwatching. A convenience store and the Beverly Shores South Shore Railroad station—providing passenger train service to Chicago and South Bend—are located a quarter-mile north at US Highway 12 and Broadway Avenue.
