Setting
Blackwell Campground is a large, grassy staging camp located on Tower Ridge Road inside the Charles C. Deam Wilderness area. It serves as a major trailhead for the 35-mile wilderness trail system and lies close to the Hickory Ridge trails. Facilities include gravel parking areas on both ends, a picnic shelter, six vault toilets, a non-potable water hydrant, hitching racks, and an accessible mounting ramp for horse riders.
