North Sandusky Campground sits along the western shore of Southern Illinois's Rend Lake near Sandusky Cove, surrounded by oak, hickory, and maple forests. The site features 95 reservable campsites equipped with electric hookups, picnic tables, and fire pits. On-site facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, an RV dump station, and playgrounds at the entrance and White Oak loop. Campers can access the paved 20-mile Rend Lake Bike Trail directly from the grounds or visit the adjacent day-use area, which offers a boat ramp, picnic shelters, and a disc golf course.
Getting there: From I-57 take exit 77 and turn west on Route 154. After 4.5 miles turn south onto Rend City Road. Continue through the four-way stop and follow signs to the campground.
