Barneys Campground offers primitive waterfront camping along the northeast shore of Deadwood Reservoir at 5,300 feet elevation. Tucked into a shaded pine forest, the campground features direct shoreline access, dirt parking spurs, and vault toilets; drinking water is available at neighboring Howers Campground. Boaters access the water via a boat launch two miles away at Cozy Cove. Surrounding forest trails accommodate hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and off-road vehicles.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
The Deadwood Reservoir shoreline is 0.1 mi off. Wild Buck Peak stands 2,641 ft above the site, 3.8 miles north. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.2 miles off, an 8-site campground. 3 sit on the water -- most of them shaded. The nearest town, Cascade, is 23 mi off.
