Setting
This 990-acre park along the Snake River preserves towering boulders—remnants of the catastrophic Bonneville Flood 14,500 years ago—that mark a legendary waypoint on the Oregon and California Trails. Register Rock bears carved names of westbound emigrants. Today the park offers camping, a visitor center with exhibits, hiking and biking trails, disc golf, and river access. The distinctive landscape stands at 4,400 feet elevation amid high desert terrain.
