Third Creek Group Campground is an open, flat group facility at 5,000 feet elevation in Weston Canyon, bordered by scattered pines and hardwoods. Located 12 miles northeast of Malad near Deep Creek Reservoir, the site accommodates up to 125 people. On-site facilities include a large covered picnic shelter, picnic tables, outdoor grills, potable water spigots, and three vault toilets. The adjacent Third Creek Trailhead features horse hitching racks and provides direct access to the Oxford Peak Trail System for hiking, mountain biking, and off-road vehicles.
All 0.2 miles in are maintained for passenger cars. Gravel the whole way in (0.2 miles).
Weston Peak stands 2,653 ft above the site, 3.2 miles southeast. Private here -- the nearest through road is 0.7 miles off, a single-site campground. A group campground -- most of them shaded. Upper Deep Creek Reservoir lies 1.1 mi off. The nearest town, Malad City, is 6.5 mi off.
