Curlew Campground sits at 4,700 feet elevation in the open, sagebrush-covered terrain of Curlew National Grassland, adjacent to Stone Reservoir. The facility includes mowed lawns, single sites, a triple-family site, and a 200-person group area with a picnic shelter, grills, and horseshoe pits. Most campsites feature small shade shelters, tables, and fire rings; Site 14 is fully accessible with a concrete pad. Facilities include vault toilets, but no hookups or drinking water. Motorized watercraft are banned on the reservoir, though off-road vehicle trails loop through the area.

All 0.6 miles in are maintained for passenger-car comfort. Gravel the whole way in (0.6 miles). Sits on broad, near-level ground.
