Located at milepost 158.2 on US Highway 12 along the Wild and Scenic Lochsa River, this campground features 27 campsites set in a mature pine forest around a small stream. The site accommodates RVs up to 40 feet long and features on-site hosts during open seasons. Visitors use the location for fishing, hiking, picnicking, and nature viewing.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
Secluded here -- no through road within 3.7 miles. Stripe Mountain stands 982 ft above the site, 0.9 miles northeast. A lake lies 0.5 mi off. The nearest town, Salmon, is 49 mi off.
