Ten tent-only sites in cool fir and spruce forest on Wallowa-Whitman National Forest near Hells Canyon Wilderness. Vault toilets, picnic tables at each site; no potable water. $10/night (late June onward). Seven Devils Lake a short walk away with fishing and photography. Self-service payment.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
