Powell Campground lies at 3,400 feet in a dense forest along the Lochsa Wild and Scenic River, directly across from the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. Paved loops offer single-family tent and RV sites with tables and fire rings, with Loop A supplying 15-, 30-, and 50-amp electrical hookups. Amenities include accessible vault toilets, drinking water spigots, and a day-use flush toilet. The Lochsa River is famous for whitewater floating and trout fishing, while the 1.5-mile Powell Complex Trail starts nearby, and local commercial services are within walking distance.
