Orogrande #1 and #2 sits along the Crooked River, split into two distinct sections by the road. The roadside opposite the water features a single compact space suitable for one family or small group. The riverfront section expands into an open, grassy campsite along the bank. On-site facilities include fire rings, vault toilets, and at least three leveled camp pads.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
Crooked River runs 0.3 mi off. Nipple Mountain stands 1,938 ft above the site, 2.9 miles west. Night skies measure Bortle 3 -- a dark rural sky. The nearest town, Grangeville, is 32 mi off.
