Third Fork Cabin is a historic Civilian Conservation Corps guard station built in 1933, set at 4,700 feet among old-growth ponderosa pine along Squaw Creek. The cabin sleeps four with one double and two single beds, and features an indoor flush toilet, shower, hot water, propane heater, stove, and refrigerator. Outside, the fenced yard holds a picnic table, campfire ring, and grill. Anglers can fish for native trout in adjacent mountain streams, while hunters use the cabin as a base. Sagehen Reservoir lies 18 miles east, offering boating, fishing, and trail networks.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
