Setting
McCrea Bridge Campground sits in a lodgepole pine forest along the backwaters of Island Park Reservoir at 6,200 feet. The site features single and double family campsites on gravel spurs, each equipped with a picnic table, campfire ring, and grill. Amenities include vault toilets, drinking water, trash collection, and an on-site boat ramp, though water levels recede by late summer. Henry's Fork fly-fishing, trail riding, and floating are popular nearby, with Yellowstone's west entrance located 29 miles to the north.
Getting there: From West Yellowstone, Montana, take Highway 20 south for 27 miles. Turn west at Elk Creek Service Station and travel 2 miles to the campground entrance.
