Cub River Guard Station sits at 6,000 feet elevation along the Cub River under a canopy of hardwood, pine, and cottonwood trees. The site accommodates groups up to 75 with a 1959 cabin sleeping eight across two bedrooms. The interior features log furniture, a wood stove, propane space heater, propane range, and propane lighting. Outside, a large lawn allows tent camping alongside a basketball court, volleyball court, tetherball pole, outdoor pavilion, fire ring, summer flush toilet, and vault toilet. Visitors fly-fish for trout, ride local OHV and snowmobile trails, and hike.
