Setting
Situated four miles from Pine, Idaho, Dog Creek Campground sits in a ponderosa pine forest at 4,600 feet along Dog Creek at the base of the Trinity Mountain Range. The grounds feature 11 single-family campsites and two small group sites for up to 15 people each, laid out with gravel spurs, vault toilets, and drinking water. The South Fork Boise River is less than a quarter-mile away for rainbow trout fishing and rafting, while nearby trailheads include the Cross Cut Trail and Green Creek Trail.
Getting there: From Mountain Home, travel east on Highway 20 for 35 miles, to the turnoff for Pine/Featherville (Forest Highway 61). Travel north on Highway 61 for 23 miles to the campground.
