Situated five miles west of Orofino along the Clearwater River, Pink House Recreation Site sits at an elevation of 980 feet framed by semi-arid hillsides. The year-round campground features 15 RV sites with full hookups (water, 30-amp electric, sewer) and three tent sites right along the water. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, standing grills, potable water hydrants, vault and flush toilets, a dump station, and two reservable day-use pavilions. A concrete boat ramp provides river access for floating, fishing, and tubing, with a sandy beach within walking distance of the sites.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Crowded here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 20-site campground. Clearwater River / kuumkxtoyn runs 0.1 mi off. Most sites here have an electric hookup -- 20 sit on the water, most of them shaded. Teakean Butte stands 3,156 ft above the site, 6.5 miles north. The nearest town, Orofino, is 4.5 mi off.
