Luby Bay in ID -- Campground & RV Camping in Idaho

Luby Bay sits on the western shore of Priest Lake at 2,500 feet elevation in Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The upper section features paved roads with gravel parking spurs; the lower section offers paved parking and waterfront sites. Amenities include water hydrants, flush toilets, and an RV dump station. Visitors can kayak, canoe, or power boat up the 3.5-mile thoroughfare to Upper Priest Lake, or enjoy fishing, swimming, and birding. Beach Trail #48 is accessible from the campground. Open mid-May through late September.

Getting there: From I-90, east or west, turn at Post Falls, Idaho on Highway 41 going north to Newport, Washington. Take Highway 2 east to Priest River. At the junction of Highways 57 and 2, turn left at the stop light (there is only one in town) onto Highway 57. Go 28.5 miles to Lamb Creek Village. Turn right on Luby Bay Road. Go 1.5 miles to the stop sign. Turn left on W. Lake Shore Road and proceed 0.5 miles to the campground. From Sandpoint, Idaho, take Highway 2 west 22 miles to Priest River. At the junction of Highways 57 and 2, turn right at stop light (there is only one in town) onto Highway 57. Go 28.5 miles to Lamb Creek Village. Turn right on Luby Bay Road. Go 1.5 miles to the stop sign. Turn left on W. Lake Shore Road and proceed 0.5 miles to the campground.
