Pine Flats Campground sits at 3,700 feet elevation under a canopy of ponderosa pines along the South Fork Payette River. Paved roads lead to single and double-family sites equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills, alongside vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection. A quarter-mile nature trail from the campground leads down to a natural riverside hot spring soaking pool. The adjacent river provides trout fishing, kayaking, and whitewater rafting, with river access points located nearby.
