Grayback Campground sits at 4,200 feet in a ponderosa pine forest two miles south of historic Idaho City. The facility offers 15 single and three double sites with paved pads, tables, lantern hooks, and fire rings, alongside two large paved group sites with serving tables and grills. Amenities include vault toilets, accessible hand pumps for drinking water, and trash dumpsters. The 1-mile Grayback Loop Trail originates on site, Mores Creek runs down the hill below, and the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway provides direct road access to local mountain trails.
