Black Rock Campground sits at an elevation of 4,300 feet on the banks of the North Fork Boise River, roughly 20 miles from Idaho City. Set under towering ponderosa pines, the site offers 11 single campsites on dirt spurs, each furnished with a picnic table, campfire ring, and lantern hook. Facilities include vault toilets and drinking water, though no garbage service is provided. Visitors come to fish for rainbow trout, swim in nearby river holes, and access local networks of hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and dirt biking trails.
