Setting
North Fork Campground sits along the Big Wood River at an elevation of 6,300 feet inside the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. Shaded by aspen and pine forests with summer wildflowers, the site offers access to fly-fishing, float tubing, and the 20-mile Harriman Trail for hiking and mountain biking. Sites sit on gravel roads and spurs, supported by vault toilets and drinking water. The Sawtooth National Recreation Area Visitor Center is half a mile away, and Easley Hot Springs lies six miles north with a swimming pool, hot tubs, and showers.
Getting there: From Ketchum, Idaho, travel approximately 8 miles north on Highway 75. Campground is on the west side of the road.
