Setting
Easley Campground sits along the Big Wood River in Idaho's Sawtooth National Recreation Area at 6,800 feet elevation, 14 miles north of Ketchum. The forest of Douglas fir, ponderosa pine, lodgepole pine, and aspen shades family campsites on gravel spurs with vault toilets, drinking water, and scenic views of the Boulder Mountains. Campers have direct access to fly-fishing and float tubing on the river, as well as the 20-mile Harriman Trail for hiking and biking. Easley Hot Springs lies less than a quarter-mile away, offering a public swimming pool, hot tubs, showers, and a small store.
Getting there: From Ketchum, take Highway 75 north for 14.1 miles. Turn onto Forest Road 160 at the sign for Easley Campground.
