Setting
Summit View Campground is set high in the Bear River Range within a lodgepole pine forest, located eight miles east of Highway 30 near Georgetown, Idaho. The facility features 18 single-family campsites and three group sites, served by vault toilets, drinking water, and an on-site amphitheater. Dirt roads and parking spurs navigate the grounds. Located in the Great Western Trail corridor, the campground provides direct access to the 3.5-mile Harrington Peak Trail.
Getting there: From Georgetown, Idaho, turn east on County Road 102. Travel two miles, and turn left on Forest Road 095 (the sign indicates the Left Fork of Georgetown Canyon). Continue about six miles, to the campground.
