Setting
Prairie Flower Recreation Area spans 60 acres along the 6,000-acre body of Saylorville Lake. The campground features 153 family sites and 10 group sites, all equipped with electric hookups. On-site facilities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and a swimming beach. The grounds contain over 40 acres of planted prairie, and the paved 24-mile Neal Smith Trail runs past the park. Boat ramps and a fishing dock are nearby.
Getting there: From I-35, take exit 90 to Ankeny/Oralabor Road and go west for 4.8 miles. The road turns into Highway 415, continue and follow signs to the campground.
