Clarks Ferry sits along the Iowa bank of the Upper Mississippi River, shaded by mature trees. The campground features 50-amp electric hookups, picnic tables, and campfire rings at every site. Onsite facilities include an accessible fishing dock, a boat ramp, a dump station, a picnic shelter, two playgrounds, horseshoe pits, and a volleyball area. Anglers target channel catfish, bluegill, walleye, crappie, and northern pike in the river. Shady Creek Recreation Area and Wildcat Den State Park are located nearby.
Getting there: From Davenport, Iowa, drive west on Hwy 22 about 15 miles and turn at Clark's Ferry Sign (in Montpelier)
